Movies!

Ok so I have seen a couple of movies in the past month and there are a lot more that i would love to see. My brothers birthday was Jan 29th and he wanted to see a movie and go to dinner so we went to see Hotel for Dogs cuz that was the only movie that was out that he wanted to see and I told him that he should have waited a week and there were a lot of really good movies that were going to open (i.e. Push, Coraline, and He's just not that into you) so we saw it and it was pretty good for being PG and seeing it with the rents and J. Then just today I saw Push with a coworker, his sister, and Sarah. J was going to come cuz he said he had off but he got his weeks confused and so he has next weekend off when I will be in az. Anyway since he couldn't come I didn't want to go with just Jeff and his sister so I asked one friend and her aunt just died and was going to be out of town. Ok so i really only have 2 friends so my chances that Sarah were really slim but she came threw! and I was very excited! The movie: i thought it was pretty good. it did have its times that were kinda slow and the beginning was really slow but the end was great even though they totally set it up for a second one. I hate when movies do that! One of the previews was that of the new x-men movie about the origin of Wolverine! It comes out on May 1st so Im going to see if my dad wants to see it for his birthday!

oy not keepin up

Wow one of the things that I wanted to do in 2009 was to blog more but have I been doing that...NO! and why is this you ask? Well for one I don't have a lot of internet time and I have lots to do while I'm on and then 2nd I really don't know what to write about. I was never really good at writing in a journal about everyday life and this is only an online journal for me. Let me think what has been going on with me.........................................thinking.......................................

ok well this week I went to Small group on Monday and it was ok we talked about being in a christian bubble. I know I fall into that just cuz I don't have a lot of friends and finding new ones in Roswell is kinda hard...where to look? Tuesday I stayed in my bubble and went to bible study which was about Easter and being overwhelmed with life. Then tonight I was going to babysit at the church but there were no little little ones so I got to go home/go to starbucks early. My Co-Worker was out sick yesterday and today so I had to do a lot more work but it was sort of ok because the middle of the week is slower then on Monday and Friday. I really hope he is back tomorrow cuz I like my desk!

This weekend Im planning to catch up on my recorded shows and Scrapbook. I really need to finish the books from Lubbock cuz Amber keeps bugging me!

Next weekend I'm going to AZ! IM so excited. Dana is getting married so we are doing some planning and having her bridal shower! Oy IM SO EXCITED!

2008 in Review

On December 31 I was listening to the radio and they were talking about what was their favorite memory of the year and that got me thinking so here is my year in review!
January: Rachel's Wedding was the 4th -6th in Mexico and it was a crazy time...just like Rachel!
February: The 7th-9th was CHA/Meeting Elsie for the 2nd time/Meeting "SIS"ters. CHA is always fun, getting to see all of the new products that are going to be coming out and getting to visit with Elsie is always a good time! I also got to meet some of the SIS Girls at Roundtable Pizza. All of them are fun and i wish we could have hung out longer or got to get together more. I drove back to NM on the 16th-17th. This was not a planned event (moving back home) but I am here now and a lot has happened since I have been back....continue reading!
March: Winning the Roswell Shop Hop! We had a shop hop in CA with scrap stores and when I came back to NM I found out thaey were doing one with local sores so I went to all of them to get my stamp and it ended up that I WON! What a nice welcome home gift!
April: April 1st I HAVE A JOB! I started at the Bank of the Southwest as a Proof Operator
May: My brother Jeremiah graduated from HS. It was a great time for the family to come together and hang out. This was the first time in a while that I was able to go to a family function because I was so far away.
June: Back in 2007 our main church building was burnt pretty bad so we were using the youth building (which is way smaller) while it was being rebuilt. It reopened this month and were able to enjoy the new building!
July: Yes I saw fireworks in Ca at Disneyland but never on the 4th. This year I was with my family at the lake. Also Jeremiah got an Apple computer with his graduation money and the nice brother that he is lets me barrow it, increasing my time at starbucks on the internet!
August: The Bank had been doing some remodeling and the Bookkeeping department was planning on moving up to the 3rd floor when all of it was done and finally on the 6th we were able to move up! I also got to go to CA for a very short time on the 9th-10th for Tiffany and Chris's Wedding. On the 9th I shopped and hug out with all my peeps the the wonderful wedding was on the 10th. My Birthday was on the 31st so to celebrate my mom, friend Amber, and I went to ABQ to go to Santa Fe and Freedom Fest.....continued into September.
September: For the rest of my Birthday we went shopping in Abq which we dont have a lot of here in Roswell
October: I got to teach my very first Scrap Class. Yes I have taught some techniques before but this was my first class where I made something and teach how I put it together! It was a small turn out and there were multiple difficulties but we pulled through and it was a great class.
November: I GOT A CAR! if you have read my previous post about my car you know all of the craziness that went with it but all in all I was just excited to get a car to call my own ok well I call it Roon but whatever. on the 21st -23rd I was in AZ visiting Dana and Rachel and watching TWILIGHT! Thanksgiving was also a fun time. Went to my grandmothers where my little cousins were also there and they are growing up so fast especially since I haven't seen them in a long time.
December: In closing out the year my brother got himself an X-Box 360 with Guitar Hero so you know what I will be doing in 09. My boss and his wife had their baby on the 27th and my dad had surgery on his ankle on the 31st.

For 2009 I plan to:
Travel more
Read at least 30 Books
Save for my own Apple Computer
Scrap More
and Blog More

Trying to BREATHE

Wow I just read online at facebook that my friend is getting married! I know its usually a good thing to get married and it is but it is kinda fast they only started dating a little under a month. I know she really likes him and i sort of met him when i was there (AZ) in Nov. so they are getting justice of the peace in march cuz in is in the military and is going to Florida so with getting married she can go with him and then they are going to have a "real" wedding in December of next year. this is also crazy because up until she started dating him she and i were the only ones who weren't dating or already married. i was just getting use to her dating someone now she is getting married and moving even farther away! its just a lot to take in and so i need to just breathe!

Poor doggies!

Our dogs Nic and Buddy have a small yard to call their own but every once in a while when dad is working outside he lets them out and they get to run free! They usually stay around that house and property, and only sometimes do they run farther but are back later at night. Well two Thursday nights ago they didn’t come back. We were so sad to see them go and were just waiting for them to come back. When my mother and I come home form church on Sunday we saw a black blob and it was nic…he had returned home! He was exhausted and hungry but other then that ok. But where was Buddy? Nic was so sad with out buddy but we hoped that he would be ok. Then on Wednesday morning I saw two black dogs in our yard. Buddy was back! but he was limping and his front right paw looked hurt. Jeremiah said that the pad was cut but he didn't get a good look at it. Then Yesterday my dad was able to get a good look at it and it was a pretty large cut so he took him to the vet and it ended up that he had a BULLET in his foot! CRAZY! so he had surgery and now is on 'bed rest' meaning he has to be inside (which he is not allowed) because it cant get wet and we have to be watching him so he doesn't hurt it more or rip off the wrapping.

NEW CAR!

Wow what an experience it has been buying a new car! I really needed a new car because of the fact that the one i was driving was a van (not to say the vans are bad) that none of the doors opened properly, the heater and air didn't work, the radio didn't work, the gas guage was messed up, and it raddled like no other! so i went to the car dealership just to see if i could get a car cuz in don't get payed a lot and didn't know how my credit was. after a really long day at the car place i drove away in a silver version on the one i owned cuz they sold me the wrong car and mine would not be ready for a few days. Then only 7 hours after owning "my" car I hoped a curb and sliced my two right tires! what an adventure this car has been so far!

Wonderful Weekend!

My Wonderful weekend began on Saturday when my mother interrupted my TV watching to tell me that I had won the Shop Hop! That's right I received $2400 worth of gift certificates to local stores in Roswell! Then My Grandmother came for Easter and had a blast hanging out with her on Saturday and Sunday! For Easter my brother and I got these wonderful Bubbles that are HUGE! and smell like grapes and blueberries! Then on Monday my mother and I went shopping with my gc and had so much fun we literally shopped till we dropped! and we only went to seven of the 24! And the most wonderful news of the weekend/week is I GOT A JOB! I'm so excited. Its at Bank of the Southwest as the data entry operator, I will be working on the computer making sure everything is put in correctly and that everything balances. I can't wait to start on the 1st...only a week left to be lazy!

Our little farm

Look at our cute little farm...we have a bull. Who's name is Bucky. and lots of roosters/a few chickens. The chickens have been having eggs and they are tasty. We will be having Bucky for meet some day but I will not eat him. A Great Adventure At the Farm....some new people bought the land behind and around us and now have cattle on the land. So the other day one of their cows got into our gate and started eating Bucky's food! So I called my dad but he was in a meeting and then I called my mom. in that process the cow started to walk away then started to talk to Bucky...after the cow was almost gone and I thought I was in the good...Bucky got out and started to jump around....and towards me. It ended with my mom getting my brother out of school so he could catch Bucky and put him back where he belongs...no anywhere near me!

Wow what a few Crazy days we have had with the weather! On Sunday it was in the upper 70 then that night the wind came and SNOW! Yup thats right I had to drive home from church group in snow fluries! And I coming from warm CA I almost froze! Then Monday morning I woke up and up on like 5 layers of close and made a little snowman but he didnt last long as you can see...and by the time my Mom saw him all that was left was his middle and bottom half! This morning is a little chilly but it is still going to be in the late 60's almost 70's today! Why is weather messing with my body!

Eventful Morning

Wow! I woke up by the sounds of the rosters crowing away and the sun shining on my face. I was all nice and tosty in my bed and the house was cold. My mother has already put me to work with the kids at the church (I have to leave in a few min). We have 2 cars for 3 people so I came to school with my brother to meet my mother (she works in the Library at the Middle School) but before we went to school we had to stop and feed the horses. On driving to the ranch we saw a cow on the side of the road and it happened to be one of the ones that they take care of. So we (and by we I mean my brother) had to put it back in the pins. By the time that he had chases it farther down the road and came back to the truck it had disapeared (hopefully back in the pen). On the way to school we had to pick up some bags of trash on the side of the road because they happened to be ours. On my fathers way to work this morning they blew out of the trailer. but we couldnt get to them because of the cow....they are still there. Man what have I gotten myself into! Hope your day was as eventful as mine.

I know...two post in one day!

But I just figured this out and I thought I should let you know....when I was playing at IMDB I came across this picture of Jason Schwartzman:
and I was like "why is he in a photo with the lead singer of Rooney"...well it ends up that THEY ARE BROTHERS! I know...Crazy right. Why did I not realize this sooner...I don't know but I do think its and interesting tid bit!

The writer strike is almost/is now over! I'm so excited for all of my shows to be back! Well now that they are coming back I'm going to be in a place where we don't get most of those channels....but once I get a job I'm telling the parents that I'm getting Cable and Internet...I know they don't have Internet! I don't now how I will survive until I get a job! Which shows are you excited to come back?

I Heart CHA!

Today was CHA Day! How Exciting! I woke up early and got to the show early with Cindy and Elaine and walked around doing make in takes and looking at all of the new product that I want the store to order even thou Im not going to be here I saw stuff that I want to buy when it comes out. Then Megan and Chelsea came and we walked and hung out having fun lookin at all of the wonderful new product! I meet and took pics with Heidi Swap and Elsie. I ahd meet Elsie before and I love her and the stuff that she comes up with..she is so talented!

Not wanting to move

There has been a lot of ish going on in my life for a while and more in the last week and more to come I know. My car is dead and have decied the only thing that is really logical is to move back to New Mexico to be with my family. Hopefully I can come back to CA because I really love it here and the people I have met but Im not sure when that will happen or even if it will. One thing that I will miss the most is the college group that I have been going to for only a few weeks..actually the first time I even went was the day before I found out that my car was dead and that I was going home. The group is really fun and I wish that I had more time to spend with them but I dont want to get to close now because Im leaving in a few weeks and I dont want to be too sad on leaving then I alread am. We dont have a college/young adult group at my home church so I dont know what will happen when I go home...I will look around and hopefully find something as good as what is here.

Sweeney Todd

I made a Sweeney Todd Movie Trailer! It was so much fun to make and helped me take my mind off a few things for a little bit at least! I had the chance to see it a few days before it came out in theaters but I couldn't find anyone who was free to come with me so I saw it by my self! New Year

So I didn't end the year very well or start the new one well! I really need to keep up with this!
Lets start with the Holidays...
Thanksgiving: I spent some time with the Luevanos (my family here in CA)like I have for the last few years and this year some of their cousins were there and we played some guitar hero! So much fun if you have not played.
Christmas: Spent with Venissa and her mom and grandparents down in San Diego! Its always nice to get away for a bit and not have any responsibilities. and hanging out with her family is always an adventure.
New Years: I was in the Apt by myself and was planing to scrapbook into the new year but I just stayed on the couch and watched movies.

One of my best friends Rachel got married on Jan 5th in Rocky Point Mexico! It was so much fun but with lots of stress leading up to it! I lost my NM license and so I thought I would just go to the DMV and get an CA one...but it takes 2-4 Weeks to mail it to me and I only had a few days! So I took a few other items that would say that I was a US Citizen and not have to stay in Mexico...with all that trouble they didn't even look at anything! Thank God for small border crossings!

My current problem is not having a roommate and not having money to pay the extra for rent! I have been looking but all of the ones that look good are male or after I email them or they email me nothing goes farther then 1 or 2 connections...haven't meat anyone yet or talked on the phone! I really need a roommate!

Happy Halloween Everyone!

And what a happy day it is. My morning class was canceled, Lunch was good, The new Love, Elsie Noel and Zoe came in to the store today and I took an extended break at my other job to go check it out and buy some! so you know what I will be doing later tonight! Today is also scone day at the library and tonight I'm getting good Mexican food for dinner and hanging out with cute kids in their cute costumes! Hope you have a wonderful day as well!
